Irving, Texas, United States · Research institute, publisher, educational nonprofit
The Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research is an American Muslim research organisation founded in 2016 by Omar Suleiman, who serves as its president. Its name comes from the Arabic word yaqīn, meaning certainty. It is based in Irving, Texas, operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded by donations, and has an affiliated Canadian branch.
The Institute aims to strengthen faith through scholarship and to respond to contemporary doubts about Islam. Its output includes peer-reviewed research papers, books, infographics, multi-part series and a large library of videos, covering theology, Qur’anic studies, hadith, Islamic law, history, ethics and research on Islamophobia. All of its material is offered free of charge, through its website, mobile apps and a widely followed YouTube channel. It has also developed the Yaqeen Curriculum for Islamic schools and co-hosts an annual academic conference with the Muslim American Society.
Its contributors include resident staff, senior fellows and affiliated scholars drawn from both traditional seminary and Western academic backgrounds, with work reviewed through an editorial process before publication.
This page lists Yaqeen’s written work by contributors who do not have their own author page here; each piece names its writer. Papers by its main scholars are listed on their own pages.
